  1. Hi Howard, can I call you Howard? I missed out on the kickstarter even though I was planning on participating, is it far to late to contribute and maybe get some sweet extra swag? Looking to invest in the commodore package or the level below if it’s easier

  2. I really want to get this game, but I can’t figure out how to back this, or if it’s even open to new backers (I’m new to kickstarter). Help!! I love Schlock Mercenary, and I love tabletop gaming… I really want the chance to combine the two…

  3. We are about three weeks out from our Children’s Hospital initiative with the Pittsburgh Retro Gaming Convention.

This is the second year of the event for us, and last year was a great success. This year we’d love to raise enough money with the game + convention sales to make a definitive impact for Children’s that goes beyond a general fund.

Although our top tier sponsorship spots are filled and paid, we still have three weeks left. We’re at the end of our timeline and budget for promotions at this point, and shifting our focus to find bloggers, sites, and low tier sponsors to fill the final spots (only $100), donate prizes for contests and raffles, or get some social media mentions still mean a lot to us.

What does it mean to be a kid?

It means something different for everyone. At Children’s Hospital, it’s hospital visits, treatments, and weeks away from school. We believe it means much more than that. Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh sees more than a million unique children each month, leading the way with some of the worlds most renowned specialists and research team. We want to help!

Pittsburgh Retro Gaming Convention is an event with a singular focus: supporting a great cause through a medium that we love with gaming! From retro games to table top and cosplay, our attendees travel from around the east coast to drink the atmosphere we produce. When we were growing up, games were something the whole family could share and enjoy together from board games and D&D to two player Super Mario Bros on your NES.

8 Bit Evolution is also releasing an exclusive game, with all proceeds going to the same initiative. Germ Squashers will be cross-platform released two player experience where you can choose a boy or girl character, defeating germs and completing levels to get the ultimate prize: a Super Flu Shot.

I’d love to have a play & win, or raffle donation of Planet Mercenary. Aside from supporting a great cause, we’ll also be putting your logo on our banner in the gaming area, on the site under sponsors and doing a featured sponsor profile on social media.

It’s not too late for a Christmas Miracle, getting some exposure that can drip down to a fantastic cause. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to collaborate, some suggestions or introductions to similar outlets, etc.
